We put our bodies through a lot! Long periods of inactivity followed by lifting, reaching, stretching, pushing not to mention (hopefully!) running, cycling, swimming, skiing etc. Without the right conditioning and preparation for the transition into effort, injuries become more likely, especially as we get older.
I've been treating muskuloskeletal injuries with physiotherapy for the last 20 years, returning sports people back to health from the range of breaks and strains. I also treat scoliosis and other spinal dysfunctions as well as causes of chronic pain.
Jointly with the patient I work on goal-oriented rehabilitation, managing the recovery and provide the patient with programmes and strategies to prevent injury recurrence.
